Best way to move traditional lines into Photoshop is to scan large and at a high DPI, then shrink the image to hide defects. Push up the brightness and contrast to make the paper white and the lines black, then copy the lines to a new layer (delete the pic from the background layer) and set the lines layer to Multiply, which will essentially make the layer see-through so you can colour under the lines.
