Gonna be working on that tattoo. Still trying topay off the credit card. x.x;
HOWEVER, I'm flying to Ottawa on Monday. *Squees* I'm flying by myself, and it's the first time since I was.. 2.
My brother is getting married, and my future sister-in-law asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. Of course, I said yes. I'm SUPER happy for them both, they compliment eachother very well.
So going away for that. I'll post picture if I can, or a link maybe where you can see them. I can't wait. It's gonna rock.

I think maybe elongating the points of the wings (I've no idea of the anatomy terms) - the largest/longest feathers, I mean, would make it look more dramatic and graceful. Maybe incorporate the swirls like in the text on the feathers at the most outside edges rather than in letters.
Whoever you take the tat to should be able to make the best suggestions, since applying the art is usually only half the job, and a good artist can tell you what is most feasible and such.
These have a nice length, but because they are so full they look cluttered: [link]
Whereas these look silly and stubby: [link]
You'd want to strike a balance in between the two.
I think the simplicity of your design is a good way to go rather than detail.
